Anxiety therapy

Your mind can't think its way out of what your body is feeling

You know the loop. Your thoughts race at 2 a.m. Your chest is tight before a hard conversation. You're exhausted from holding it together, and nothing you've tried quite makes it stop.

You've probably already told yourself to calm down. It didn't work, and that's not a failing on your part. Anxiety isn't only a thinking problem. It lives in your body, in your nervous system, and often in your relationships. That's where we'll work.

How I work with anxiety

My approach is both "top-down" and "bottom-up," (Somatic) which means we start from your mind and from your body. We'll talk through what's going on, and we'll also pay attention to what you feel as you talk: the tightness, the heat, the urge to pull away or fix something.

As you learn to notice and trust the signals your body is sending, something shifts. Anxiety stops being a mysterious force that takes over and becomes information you can actually read and respond to. Together, we'll:

  • Notice how anxiety shows up in your body, and what it's trying to tell you

  • Build practical tools to regulate your nervous system when you're overwhelmed

  • Understand the patterns underneath, including the ones that show up in your relationships

  • Practice responding to yourself with more steadiness and less self-criticism

I'm warm but direct. I won't just nod along, and I won't push you faster than feels safe. We'll find the pace that works.

Relationship Anxiety

Worrying you're too much or not enough, replaying conversations, needing reassurance, or feeling on edge when someone pulls away. Our early relationships shape how safe closeness feels, and that's something we can work with.

Constant worry and overwhelm. A mind that won't slow down, a body that never fully relaxes, and a to-do list that feels like a threat.

Stress that's taken over your body. Trouble sleeping, tension, stomach issues, or a sense that you're always bracing for something.

Climate Anxiety

Our planet is in crisis, and it’s normal to feel distressed about that. In sessions focused on climate anxiety, we’ll aim to we’ll aim to find a balance of action and rest: interacting with the legitimate concerns while staying present enough that you can live your life without constant preoccupation. We'll also look at how the crisis affects not just you, but the world's most vulnerable populations, and build your capacity to stay present with that reality without being consumed by it.

If your anxiety doesn't fit neatly into one of these, you're still in the right place.
